Terminator reboot set for 2015

With Terminator: Salvation's sequel and planned trilogy permanently on hold due to legal and finance issues (The Halcyon Company has filed for chapter 11) a reboot; simply titled Terminator is set for a 2015 release and will be the start of a new trilogy. After multiple reports regarding the franchises future (including an animated reboot) it's been narrowed down to two possible scenarios; both of which include Arnold Schwarzenegger himself.

Arnold will return for his fourth appearance in the Terminator films (we can all agree that his CGI face on a stunt double's body in Terminator: Salvation just doesn't count), although he may not be playing a T-800 this time around. Ain't it cool news is reporting that Arnold could portray a human hero who has a close connection to the Connor family. His likeness would later be used to mould the T-800. However according to the Examiner's sources T5 will be set before the birth of Sarah Connor and will focus on her parents in the 1950's.  Rumours are also abound that Arnold will not be the star, instead he will play a supporting role to a younger male lead. One thing does remain certain however; this new trilogy will not be connected to the previous Terminator films in any way. It's also rumoured that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is being considered for a role. Alan Taylor is set to direct.

Whatever plot they decide to go with I remain sceptical but open about this. Judgement Day is arguably one of the best sci-fi films ever made so fucking this trilogy up will definitely tug at the old heart strings. However as long as Arnold is in it, I will be watching it multiple times.
