With a polished script Jurassic World has finally started the casting stage after initially postponing production due to passing on Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver's original draft. Bryce Dallas Howard (You may know her father Ron, current director and former portrayer of Happy Day's Richie Cunningham) better known as the bitch from 50/50, Kate Connor in Terminator: Salvation and Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3 is in talks to star in an unknown role. Universal has returned to Howard with offers but the studio has been looking at her since around May. Set for a June 12th 2015 release, no plot details have been released thus far.
With one big role left to cast before moving forward in the pre-production, No Country For Old Men's Josh Brolin and Rise of the Planet of the Ape's David Oyelowo have also been linked to the project. Colin Trevorrow is set to direct.
Howard's a decent actress so I think I'll hold any scepticism until I've seen the script and what exactly her role will be.
